This "Cone" chair was designed by Verner Panton in the 1960s. This particular chair was produced by Gebrüder Nehl. It is in very good vintage condition. Very nice cover in green-orange mottled fabric. The Danish designer and interior architect is considered one of the most influential designers of the 20th century. He transferred the psychedelic aesthetics of Pop Art into the profession of interior design. Panton was one of the first designers to use materials such as plastic, foam or rubber in an innovative way. Nevertheless, the innovator's designs fell out of fashion during the 1970s. In the mid-1990s, triggered by a Vogue cover with Kate Moss sitting on a Panton Chair, the artist's revival began.
