This white porcelain night-light or table lamp was probably created by the famed Limoges Company (though unsigned) during that period (the French dealer who sold it to me identified it as such). The exotic woman sports a cloche; her hairdo typifies the styling of the period as well. The face appears on the front and on the back as well! Lift off the “cap” to reach inside and easily change the bulb. Rewired and fitted with an American standard-based socket. There’s a hi-lo switch on the rayon-covered cord which allows you to create another mood altogether! When the bulb is lit, light flows through the places where the porcelain is thinnest and you get a very dramatic look. If you look very carefully at the photos where the bulb is lit you’ll see an indication of what I’m talking about, but in “real life” the impact is greater. In a dark room it takes on a life of its own. Measurements: about 7 inches high, 4 ½ diameter.
