Table lamp ... or gymnast? Bends, flexes, moves in all directions! The shade predates the lamp base (probably), although it would be a close race. The base of the lamp is particularly excellent; it has an "organic" design, whereas most of this genre were simple and geometric. The shade is probably 1900 or earlier. Acid-etched into the surface is a stag being chased by a hound in the forest. Rewired and in perfect operating condition. The patina on the base is rich, with brown/red tones. Measurements: with the socket parallel to the ground, the height is about 14 1/2 inches. The base is about 6 1/4 by 6.
