This metal ballerina lamp was designed in the 1920s - 1930s by Jeanne Louis Drucklieb. The ballerina lamp has worn in an interesting manner with bits of the gilt silver tarnished or faded away giving it a slight gold coloring - depending on the light. I just had the lamp professionally rewired. A felt pad was put on the base for table top protection and is easily removed to view the signature. The original copper socket was retained and is safe and working. The light works on a push switch - meaning it has only two setting - on and off. The base of the lamp is signed - 'Jeanne L Drucklieb’ and is pictured above. In addition on the top of the base is an encircled 'H' also pictured above. The base is 4.5" square and the lamp measures - 17.25" tall from the base bottom to the top of the socket.
