Olive Kooken (1904-1964) was an American artist, a freelance sculptor who designed lead soldiers for Tommy Toy and Barclay Manufacturing Company. She also frequently designed plaster sculptures for lamps for the National Metalizing Company (Armor Bronze), an example of which can be seen here. This heavy lamp is bronze over plaster with three nude female figures seated atop a teardrop shaped lamp, beautiful in their art deco styling. Also highly adjustable - this lamp has two sockets, each with pull chain and some rotation, along with a neck that moves up and down with a set screw to change the overall height of the lamp.
