Very rare and exqusite cut glass table lamp in the form of an exotic bird, with heat-set painted plumage, further enhanced with highlights of gilding and deep wheel-cut texture detail. The perch stand is also hand cut with multi facets and a starburst cut to the base underside, having patinated metal end caps, joint and bird claw detail. Attributed to Czech or Bohemian origin from the 1930s. Dimensions: length of bird from beak to tail, 14.5 inches; clear glass base measurement 4.5" x 4.5".
