I can’t recall EVER having seen a cuter lamp! Even more perfect than “perfect” for the child’s room -- ever to delight, ever to be remembered well into adulthood. As you can see, you can turn the switch on the socket and have the owl lit by itself, the little French (hand-blown) shade, or both, or none. The base is made of black glass, the other major elements all glass, and everything’s in tip-top condition. And finally, the lamp’s been rewired with a very rich-looking cloth-covered cord. I am thinking 1940s, but perhaps a decade earlier. Way fun! Dimensions: about 9 inches high, the base being 6 across and 3 1/2 deep.
