A stunning pair of Italian Majolica bird-themed lamps from the 1940s. The lamps feature dark black high-gloss majolica as a backdrop for elegant white egrets. The lamps capture a serene marshy habitat complete with cattails and water bugs. The lamps are mounted on brass bases with beaded detailing and four bun feet. Asian-style finials sit atop brass harps No apparent maker's mark. The lamps have been professionally rewired and the brass cleaned. The lamps are now in good condition for their age and use.
