Pair of vintage Chinese archaistic brass table lamps from the 1940s, often attributed to the style of designer James Mont. The lamps feature intricate chinoiserie-inspired motifs based on traditional square fang ritual bronze vessels. They have heavy cast brass bodies distinguished by ring handles, mounted on wooden bases and with wooden tops. Shades are damaged and not included. I can include them upon request. Newly professionally rewired with inline switches. Wooden parts are originals too and show different brown tones. Dimension below are without shades. Lamps with shades are: W 19.75" x D 14" x H 38". Lamps are very heavy.
