This very grand lamp commands quite a presence. It hails from an estate north of New Orleans where it was used in a gracious living room. The white opaline glass has a softness about it and the ormolu accents a base have a very neoclassical feel to them. The base is a 5” square and the body of the lamp is 7.5” at the widest. It stands 25”h to base of socket and the harp and finial measure together 14.5”. The shade is large, as seen in the photos. It is original to the lamp and made by Grabell of California. It is silk and sewn onto the frame. The lower edge is scalloped and the shade is trimmed with white gimp. The shade measures 17”h x 18”w at the bottom. The last 3 pictures show a truer color of the lampshade.
