Shape and color cause this lamp by F.A.I.P. to stand out from the crowd. It has a beautiful rust-orange color and symmetrical panels embedded at each level from base to the area under the socket. FAIP lamps were created at a factory in Brooklyn during the 1950s and '60s that used fired plaster chalkware. The lamp design reflects a variation of the Greek key, a favorite motif of the period. Of circular section with turned and paneled elements with metal parts, marked FAIP on the side of the foot, with a later cylindrical fabric shade. It is 35 inches tall overall. CONDITION: This lamp presents extremely well and is vintage. It has been touched up at some point in its life. It was obtained at a mid century lighting auction. The shade is included.
