Cylindrical porcelain body with hand-painted botanical decoration in the English floral tradition — full-blown cabbage roses and rosebuds in deep pink and mauve, open anemones in lavender, and rich green foliage against a cream ground, framed by yellow and gold horizontal banding at top and bottom. The cast brass base is substantial and well-detailed, with an ornate acanthus leaf relief that wraps the full circumference. Aged brass hardware and socket throughout; original taupe plastic side-exit plug consistent with late 1940s–early 1950s production. Does not currently function and will require rewiring by an electrician before use. A good candidate for restoration — the porcelain body and base are both intact and in good decorative condition.
