Our vintage Chinese Export porcelain lamps depict the Hongs at Canton and the flags of Britain, the U.S., Denmark, Holland and France. The lamps showcase vibrant greens, tans, blue with gilded accents. The lamps have been updated with new bases. Canton was the only port in China in the 18th century that western countries were allowed to trade. The Hongs were factories and they included living quarters and storage for the merchants in Guangzhou (formerly known as Canton), Guangdong, China, in the 18–19th century, specifically during the Canton System period. The lamps measures 24" to the top of the harp. This item, will be electrically reconditioned to current codes and standards and will include a harp and a standard finial. Shades are not included in this purchase.
