Lovely pair of 1960's stoneware table lamps encircled with bands of Rimini Blue glaze by Aldo Londi for Bitossi. These tall column lamps feature unglazed deep brown ceramic base, top, and bottom sections. The lamps are accented by turquoise blue and green bands of geometric imprinted designs- a hallmark of Londi's designs. The lamps have hand-carved arabesque or "moresco" patterns of heart or tear-shaped elements and central geometric diamond shapes. The lamps' texture displays high relief designs that were created by hand-turning and carving before glazing. The lamps come from our Chrome and Teak personal collection of Bitossi ceramics. They are similar in size, shape, and design- with some slight variation in the glaze colors. One lamp has a stronger blue palette and the other a greener palate. The lamps are in good condition for their age and use. There is some minor glaze loss on one of the lamps. The lamps are marked on the bottom with the Londi maker's mark. They turn on and off easily. Dimensions: 24" H X 5.5" W X 5.5" D.
