Bitossi was founded in the 1920s and then taken over by the 1950s by an artist named Aldo Londi, who took the skill and ran with it. You can always tell a real Bitossi lamp by looking at the bottom and finding the unglazed portion of authentic Bitossi pottery is rough and concave. This one has a beautiful green glaze and small etching detail. It's been newly rewired with a medium base socket that can hold up to 150 watts.This lamp measures 32" tall to the finial and 14" wide with the shade.
