For your consideration are a pair of Italian mid-20th century cast plaster fruit topiary table lamps. Dating to the 1960s, the lamps are finished in a classic whitewashed glaze to achieve a weathered antique effect that is contrasted by luxurious hand applied gilding. Stylish and impressive in size and stature, the lamps stand approximately 32” in height from base to the top of the finial (24" to top of the socket), measure 9” in diameter, and weigh just under 22 pounds each. The lamps have harps and finials which will be detached and wrapped separately prior to shipping. Lamp shades are not included. In remarkable condition given their age with no chips, cracks, prior repairs, or other compromising imperfections found. Occasional tiny specks of gilt loss and mild rubbing can be found on close inspection, but this is neither noticed or distracting. The cords appear original and each bears a two prong plug. The sockets and switches are clean and in good repair with both lamps operating as intended.
