Rare dated 1973 Chapman Manufacturing Company Chinoiserie ginger-jar table lamp in classic cream blanc-de-Chine with raised floral and bird relief decoration. This is the iconic model, produced from a high-quality Italian porcelain blank (marked “ITALY” and dated “9/73” inside the removable lid) and finished in the USA by Chapman with their signature hand-applied raised-paste floral & bird motif, an original gold-leaf wooden base, and brass hardware. The base interior features Chapman’s classic three-interlocking-circle factory stamp. Excellent vintage condition. A few very small old fleabites on the top rim - see detailed photos.
