Striking clover-form bouillotte table lamp in solid brass with a joined three-leaf (trefoil) black tole shade and gilt interior. The design updates a classic French bouillotte: three candle-form lights rise from a clover tray base; above, an adjustable shade is set on a center post with the period key-shaped arm and ball finial. Beautifully proportioned and substantial, this model is closely associated with Chapman (USA) in the 1970s–80s; documented clover bouillotte examples by Chapman show the same hardware and construction.
