A French Empire style carved marble table lamp featuring a visage of Bacchus, the Roman god of wine, to grace the urn of the lamp base. A new, neutral tone linen shade with pleating diffuses the light from a standard base Edison bulb, controlled by an on/off switch below the socket. Note the ivory marble with gray veining remains quite luminous and smooth, although gently patinated by small chips.
