This is a splendid adjustable table lamp produced by Stilux Milano in the 1950s, an iconic piece of mid-century Italian industrial design. Stilux was known for its ability to combine noble materials with highly precise functional mechanisms. The lamp rests on a solid triangular base in white Carrara marble, into which the original brass push-button switch is embedded. The stem is made of brass. The main feature is the double ball joint (one at the base and one halfway up the stem), typical of Stilux production. These joints allow the light to be tilted and directed with extreme flexibility. The joints are equipped with small levers or wing screws to lock the desired position.
