Antique Art Nouveau Figural Spelter “Lady" Table Lamp, 12” High

Chairish

$1,820

This antique Nouveau figural "Lady" table lamp is a piece of late 19th to early 20th-century significance. It’s aesthetic blend of organic forms sit upon a stylized sculptural wood base. Here are some important facts; * Design & Style: The lamp features a classic Art Nouveau organic form with a metal female figure at the center. Two slender, curved arms emerge from behind her, ending in floral-shaped sockets that mimic flower buds or lilies. * Materials: The figural base is spelter (a zinc-based alloy popular in Europe around 1900) mounted on a wooden base. * The original glass shades (often iridescent "illy" or tulip-shaped art glass produced by makers like Loetz, Tiffany, or Daum) are not included, instead the bare candelabra light bulbs are being used which we have done for years. * Pieces with this specific configuration are highly reminiscent of classic Austrian and French sculptors from the era, such as Gustav Gurschner, Louis and François Moreau, or Lucien Alliot. Condition; Very good to excellent. The lady has a small hairline crack on her left arm which is part of the casting process. Measurements; Lady: 12"Hx10"Wx5"D. Wood base:  1.5"Hx5"Wx5"D.
