An early 20th-century table lamp converted from a baluster-form porcelain vase of Chinese origin, likely dating to the late Qing or early Republic period (circa 1880–1920). The vase features a lustrous sang de boeuf (oxblood) glaze, a copper red reduction glaze admired for its depth and tonal variation. Mounted on a hand-crafted brass base with visible solder joins typical of early 20th-century lamp conversions. Measures 15½" high to the top of the socket.
