Fresh from a Rye New York estate, we have a great pleasure to offer you this gorgeous Antique French Neo-Classical Empire Style Bronze Ewer converted to LAMP. Made in France at the turn of 19th to 20th century, done after the Neo-classical Roman examples. Featured is a baby / angel / putti high relief wraparound scene in the middle, with multiple figures, semi nude nymph eating grapes, chariot , etc. Ewer is done in rich gilt bronze patina, a with a single handle handle having a large figure of a baby / putti sitting on it. Vase is standing on a round pedestal base. The lamp has a knob operated single socket, and an arching harp (for the shade) topped with a large finial. Urn is in overall good condition, light age / use wear on patina, lamp works great, new wiring (please see photos). Size is large 41" tall to the top of the finial (28" socket height), 10" widest point at handle, and 7" deep across. This is a phenomenal Barbedienne style quality piece, great and useful decoration for any home or office, in a traditional or mid-century modern setting!
