Antique Blanc de Chine Japanese Porcelain Lamp. This is an antique vase that was made into a lamp. It dates to 1830-1900. It was made when porcelain was fired in a coal fired kiln because of the small black dots ( kiln grit) that I have pictured. Kiln grit is a great sign for porcelain that's over 100 years old. The finial is jade or jadeite because it stays cool to the touch. This vase was turned into a lamp in the 1920's. I have had it totally rewired by my electrician.
