Here is a beautiful pair of antique Italian carved wood candle holders that have been converted into lamps. They feature wonderful silver-gilt and a reddish paint finish. I was told that they were 18th century, but I cannot verify. The pieces have since been converted into mid-sized lamps. They can be shorter floor lamps or tall table lamps. Each piece has been fitted with an ornate gold metal "cap" which can support a glass globe or shade cover. The lamps both work, but have heavily frayed cords. They each take a standard sized bulb.
