Art Deco French Inspired Alabaster Hammered Copper & Frosted Glass Dome Table Lamp, Circa 1930s

Chairish

$995

A striking Art Deco table lamp featuring a substantial frosted molded glass dome shade atop a beautifully proportioned alabaster column and hammered copper base. Dating to the 1930s, this lamp embodies the elegant material combinations favored during the Art Deco period. The architectural alabaster standard displays warm honey and cream veining, complemented by a richly patinated hammered copper base. The original frosted glass shade features a dramatic radiating feather or palm frond motif that creates a beautiful ambient glow when illuminated. The lamp retains its dual pull-chain sockets and presents exceptionally well both lit and unlit. The combination of alabaster, copper, and molded glass creates a sophisticated presence that works equally well in Art Deco, European traditional, Coastal Neoclassical, and collected designer interiors. The illuminated shade produces a soft, warm glow that highlights the decorative molded pattern and makes this a wonderful statement piece for a console, side table, library, or bedroom. Condition Very good vintage condition. Light age-appropriate wear consistent with use. Small chip to the lower edge of the alabaster base as shown. Beautiful overall patina to the copper one small area of verdigris. Shade is free of significant damage and displays beautifully when illuminated.
