This sophisticated Art Deco Machine Age table lamp was realized in the United States, circa 1935. They feature a skyscraper style two-tiered brushed aluminum base from which a cylindrical body- flaring subtly to its apex- ascends. The body culminates in an inverse dome that is partially concealed by the conical shade (also in brushed nickel). The shade is secured by a sinuously curved conical finial in lustrous brass. With its exquisite use of contrasting metallic tones and clean modernist lines, this piece embodies the qualities that discerning collectors of first rate Art Deco design adore. It would be a winning addition to any style of interior from Classic Deco to contemporary. It has been newly rewired and is in excellent vintage condition.
