$1,400

Stunning Art Deco period Quezal iridescent glass table lamp clearly signed "Quezal" on the bottom edge, as shown in the photos. Perfect lamp to place on an entryway, on a console table, or within a cozy nook to create a gentle, soothing glow. It would also make a wonderful gift for an art glass enthusiast. Designed and manufactured as a lamp, it features a factory-made opening for the electric cable. Zoom in on the photos for a closer look at the details. Quezal Art Glass & Decorating Co., founded in New York City by former Tiffany employees Martin Bach Sr. and Thomas Johnson, was renowned for its high-quality art glass. Bach, born in 1865, began his career at the St. Louis Glass Works in France before joining Tiffany as a glass chemist. In 1901, he co-founded Quezal with Johnson, employing many former Tiffany workers. Since Quezal operated for a short time (1901-1924), its glass is rarer than Tiffany or Steuben glass, making it highly collectible. Please note that shade (12Dx9Hx6D inch) is for illustration purposes only and not included. This item will be shipped fully insured with a tracking number. Measurements: total height as shown is 18 1/2" but can vary depending on harp height. Glass section is 9 1/4" tall by 5" diameter at base approximately.
