Very rare lamps by the designer Willy Luyckx, for Aluclair, these lamps are unique due to the large dimensions and finish. The height of these lamps is 75 cm. Stunning brutalist table lamp made from cast aluminum. This lamp was made by belgian goldsmith Willy Luyckx for a belgian company called Aluclair. Willy Luyckx was a goldsmith who worked for goldsmith Camille Colruyt before starting his own business in the 1960s. Under the name Aluclair he produced a hole range of items in this style, all made in this burned aluminium; ashtrays, candlesticks and more than 10 different lamps such as this one. The Aluclair company was active in the 1960s and 1970s. Willy Luyckx, originally a goldsmith, is known for his typical designs of objects and lamps made of burnt aluminum. The construction of this lamp base has a special finish, the base is built with copper and brass, the burned aluminum is silver-plated. Both lamps are numbered, number 3 and 4. The lamps have 3 light points and are equipped with a lampshade. 1 lamp has a brown lampshade; Dimentions shade: Diameter 40 cm Height 28 cm 1 lamp has a mixed lampshade, predominantly silver and black colored; Dimentions shade: Diameter 35 cm Height 23 cm Both lamps are in good condition, the brass shows light traces of age.
