Cantabrina 518/s2b Linear Suspension

The Cantabrina 518/S2B Linear Suspension from Italamp presents a playful sense of sculpture with a refined Italian character. Designed by Stefano Traverso, it uses small anchors and slender cables to suspend two metal cylinders inspired by the shape of flexible drinking straws. The ridges where the flexible neck would be on a slender straw angle one end up and the other down, with a glass cylinder capping off the efficient LED light held at each end of the steel cylinders. The rich metal finish contrasts with the hazy surface of the glossy white glass, transforming bright light into even warmth that burnishes the smooth metal fixture bodies.
