This pair of small ceramic table lamps was designed by Einar Johansen for Søholm Keramik, Bornholm, Denmark, during the 1960s. Known as model 1036, the design combines a refined matte black conical neck with a base decorated with a blue glaze with a triangle pattern. The subtle contrast between the matte stoneware and the glossy glaze is characteristic of Johansen's most successful lighting designs. Both lamps retain their original signatures underneath, including Johansen's distinctive EJ monogram and the model number. The lamps have been rewired with new textile-covered electrical cords and are fitted with new linen lampshades. Presented in excellent vintage condition without chips, cracks or repairs. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, European Plug (up to 250V).The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
