Impressive 1950's Chinese blue and white table lamp on a very nice hand carved Ming style solid wood stand. The enamel work on this piece is really nice. Ovoid body with two carefully hand painted floral panels in thick rich enamels - various white blossoms/flowers with fortuitous blue chrysanthemums on a rocky landscape. Traditional Ruyi borders. Shades of blue vary from pale, royal to dark/navy blue. The two floral panels are almost identical - they are hand painted so variations occur. Applied opaque pale blue floral handles / rings that look almost like marble. Brass embellishments topped with a very nice decorative brass finial with birds. This is a lovely lamp.
