An elegant pair of buffet lamps made in Europe in the 1950s–60s. The glossy cobalt blue ceramic bases are hand-decorated with a refined scene of cranes and herons among lotus flowers and aquatic plants. The pictorial work is meticulous, rich in detail and touches of gold. The brass elements feature floral engravings and rich decorative edges, with a warm, authentic patina. The lamps are complemented by frosted glass gourd shades with raised floral motifs and a clear, contoured glass top rim. Excellent vintage condition, with minimal signs of wear consistent with its age. Brass with a light patina, intact glass.
