Pair of Delft Imari ceramic vases by Jaap Heinen, produced at Heinen Delfts Blauw in Putten, circa 1980s. Each vessel is hand-painted in the Pijnacker-style palette—cobalt blue, iron-red, and gilt tones on a cream ground—drawing on Dutch interpretations of Japanese Imari. Transformed into table lamps by Amitābha Studio, the bases are finished with custom-cut brass fittings, braided navy cords, and bespoke Japanese block-print fabric shades in navy and gold, edged with Houlès passementerie trim. The graphic wave pattern of the shades echoes the rhythmic borders on the vases, bringing a refined, East-meets-West dialogue to consoles, bedside tables, and living rooms.
