Early, 1950s edition table lamp by the Danish designer and architect Vilhelm Lauritzen (1894 - 1984), made by Louis Poulsen, Denmark.Organically shaped matt white steel hood on a brass stem with ball joint that allows the hood to be adjusted. There is a pressure switch on the beautifully designed foot.Originally designed in the mid 1940's for the 'Radiohuset' (Radio house) - the former headquarters of the national Danish broadcaster - in Fredriksberg Copenhagen.We have a pair of identical lamps available as shown on images, both in beautiful, completely original condition. Only the wire / electricity has been replaced for safety reasons.
