This is a fine example of a vase turned lamp with the Qing-dynast scene of 5 beautifully dress ladies in a butter-fly garden with a tree of life in the center on one side and a panel of calligraphy a signed poem on the opposite side and gold butter-fly wing handles at the top. This antique vase was converted into a lamp in the 30's and has now be rewired. The vase rests on a raised rosewood base and matching cap. The painted scene is crisp and deep. The body of the vase is 7" wide, 24" to top of socket and 34" to top of the green marble finial. The lamp is show with a 18" hardback black linen shade.
