French vintage (early 20th century) Empire-style cast brass table lamp with custom linen shade. This striking fixture contains a multitude of references across the Mediterranean world: a stylized base dressed like a royal of ancient Egypt, elevating two Neoclassical arms ending in large urns parallel her head from which the faux candles rise, diffusing the light under an elliptical linen drum shade. The square pedestal is enhanced with a low-relief applique of a laurel wreath tied with a trailing bow. As a single lamp, this would work well in a variety of interiors and rooms such as for a desk lamp or on a side table to appreciate the sculptural quality of the figure. Professionally cleaned and rewired adding a new fabric cord with in-line switch and beige linen shade to diffuse the light from candelabra-base bulbs. Please view the detailed images to see more.
