Hollywood regency table lamp designed and manufactured by Georges Mathias in the 1970s. The table consists of a black lacquered base, a 23kt brass frame holding the etched artwork and finished with the a gold finished shade. All lamps where handmade and depict another natural scene or animal. The lamp is signed ‘Designo Maho’, Maho was a pseudonym Mathias’ used for pieces he sold in the Flemish part of Belgium. Nr 89/125 1970's - Belgium The lamp works with a regular E27 light bulb Height: 70cm diameter: 35cm This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
