This first-edition model 600c table lamp was designed in 1966 by gino sarfatti for arteluce in milan. Sarfatti, founder and director of arteluce until 1973, produced hundreds of numbered lighting designs, with the 600 series representing his table lamp category. the lamp retains its original square arteluce label in silver, confirming early arteluce production and authentic first-edition status. The label reads: “arteluce – article 600c – design registered – made in italy” the 600c features a leather-covered weighted base filled with metal pellets (“sandbag” base), allowing free repositioning and precise adjustment.
