Playfully glazed spherical pottery table light in the style of Jean Besnard. Designed and created by anonymous designer/maker in France during the 1920s or 1930s. No markings or signature to hand-glazed base. It features period bakelite socket/shade-holder with bronze hardware. Measurements: H: 39 cm, Diameter: 15/30 base/shade.
