Very nice lamp from France. Named Bouillotte lamp after the card game from 1800. The game gave rise to the Bouillotte lamp, consisting of one or more candlesticks with a central stand, equipped with a fireproof, adjustable hood. Often made of tôle, a painted or lacquered metal, reflective white on the inside, dark on the outside, which could be lowered as the candles burned down. Period around 1900 in Empire style. This is due to, among other things, the decoration on the red metal hood. with the 3 original light points underneath. The cord has been renewed but the plug is the same. This is a very nice model lamp, the hood can be slid into different positions. The lamp is beautifully finished on top with an acorn. Height: 37 cm. Diameter; hood: 23 cm. Diam. foot: 16 cm. European Plug (up to 250V).The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
