Stunning and unique handmade stoneware lamp by Danish artist Bodil Marie Nielsen at her own workshop in Denmark in the 1960s. Decorated with organic elements that resembles sea fossils and shells and finished with an amazing blue speckled glazing. The lamp is mounted with a new light flax linen shade. Stoneware base signed at the bottom. Bodil Marie Nielsen was a recognized ceramicist who exhibited in Denmark and abroad. Her works were exhibited and sold at "Den permanente" in Vesterbro, Copenhagen and for a period in the 1960s her stoneware lamps were produced by the renown lamp manufacturer "Fog & Mørup", which gave her design a wider distribution.
