The lamp lights up in 3 ways. 1) the glass bottom of the lamp lights up, there are 2 bulbs there and they light up. 2) lights up together down and up. 3) the very top under the lampshade lights up. The whole lighting gives a beautiful effect. The lamp is sold without the top bulb. Replacing the lower bulbs in the glass consists in unscrewing the bottom of the brass sheet base.
