A skillfully hand-carved wooden bust of a nude woman forms the base of this large lamp. Classy piece from the large estate collection of an older gentleman who collected wooden art carvings from Southeast Asia throughout the 50s and 60s, many Indonesian; exact provenance of this unsigned piece is unknown. Regardless of origin, this piece has a beautiful mid-century styling, showing off its dark wood grain among the simplified anatomy and stylized lines of the figure. Dimensions given include the top of the lamp, harp, and finial; for just the figure, she stands approximately 25.5 inches tall.
