Designed by Leucos Design Lab, Paralume is a table lamp composed of two illuminating glass elements, the base, and the shade, that can be lighted up simultaneously or one at the time. Both the base and the shade are made of handblown “incamiciato” (Italian for “jacketed” or “layered”) glass that can each be illuminated. Incamiciato is a Venetian glass blowing technique where a Maestro glass blower uses multiple layers of glass each of different transparencies and properties, to create a rich satin white finish and provides perfect diffused light.
