The Looshaus table lamp is a contemporary design that interprets the modernist austerity of the Looshaus building by architect Adolf Loos. The Looshaus building in Vienna marked a turning point in Architecture by its rejection of historicism and the evolution towards Modernism. The radical aesthetic implemented on the ground floor columns triggered a reflection about the purism of materials and forms.Being a carved block of marble, Looshaus is a contemporary luxury lighting piece, designed to be part of a special residential project or luxury hotel. The light exalts the beauty of the marble’s natural rays while directly illuminating the open gallery created by the vertical brass columns.Product detailsLampshade: Carrara marble.Metal: handcrafted structure in bronzed brushed brass finished with matt varnish.Product optionsLampshade: other marbles under request.Metal: polished, brushed, oxidized brushed or aged brushed brass/copper/steel.Weight4,3Kg 9.5 lbs Electrical characteristicsMains: 2 wires connection - Live ; NeutralFrequency: 50-60HzLamp: G9 ; 25W max.USAVoltage: 110-130VACEUROPEVoltage: 220-240VACMade to order.
