The Luce D’Oro T Table Lamp from Castellani & Smith is a freely adjustable lighting sculpture, calling to mind the attractive warmth of the bright sun and a gentle fire. Catellani & Smith examines the color of light with this piece. The studio’s mission is to give shape to light. Both color and shape come together in the hand-leafed circular plate. The circle’s textured surface transforms into fine golden highlights when turned on. Move the circular plate and the lamp head in any direction by bending their respective flex arms to achieve more of an ambient or task light.
