$785

Lovely mid-century lamp attributed to Royal Haeger. Glazed finish with an ombre look with gilt hardware. A class mid-century look. The lamp is in working condition with its original wiring. The lamp measures 36 inches from the base to the top of the finiale and 20 inches from the base to the top of the porcelain. The base is 6 inches across and at its widest point the lamp is 9 inches across. Haeger Potteries was founded in Illinois in 1852 as a brickyard. By the 1920s the brickyard's production included teaware, luncheonware, crystal and glassware. At the Century of Progress Exposition in 1934 in Chicago, Haeger Potteries' exhibit included a working ceramic factory where souvenir pottery was made. In 1934, Royal Arden Hickman (1893-1969) joined the firm to design a line of artware sold under the brand name "Royal Haeger". Hickman was the chief designer from 1938-1944. The company closed in 2016 after 145 years in business.
