This substantial cloisonné lamp is built around a brass vase with an exceptionally detailed figural program: a continuous procession of robed courtly figures and attendants wraps the bulbous lower body, while a white elephant with rider occupies a prominent panel, all rendered in polychrome enamel against a dark crosshatch ground. Ring handles at the shoulder and a carved wood base complete this stunning lamp! Measures 8 inches in diameter at the body, 26.5 inches to the top of the socket, and 34.25 inches to the top of the harp. Very good vintage condition with minor age-appropriate wear.
