Midcentury Dorothy Thorpe Lucite helix table lamp produced in the 1960s in excellent vintage condition. These amazing lamps measure 28 inches to the top of the finial. ORIGINAL CHROME HARDWARE, along with 2 adjustable bulb sockets. The base is lucite that measures 8 inches in diameter with a 1/2 inch chrome rod that runs through the lucite helix. The lamps are heavy with no chips. Dorothy Thorpe was a designer born in 1901 and starting working with lucite in the 1940s producing household items such as candlesticks, sculptural lamps, umbrella stands and magazine racks
